Thank You for shopping with YourFishStore.  Our primary concern is the health and safety of your fish.  To achieve this standard, we professionally package all aquatic life in the best materials and use the most direct and reliable shipping method which is FedEx Overnight.

Our fish come from distributors who have already acclimated the fish to aquarium conditions after arrival from around the world.  Fish are then hand-picked and prepared for shipment to you.  Fish are packaged in properly conditioned saltwater with correct pH levels in heavy-duty poly bags to cushion and protect.  Each bag is filled with oxygen for optimal conditions and secured by a professional bag sealing technology.  The water and airtight bags are then housed in Styrofoam coolers along with a heat or ice pack, as seasonal conditions dictate.

Shipping Day: Wednesday Every Week, For Thursday Arrival

Shipping Method: FedEx Overnight Priority

Please Read: Due to the fact we are based out of the east coast.  We may decline orders that come from Mid states - West Coast.  Shipping is tough on these guys when they have to travel from east to west coast and we are more concerned about the survivability rate than making money off the fish.  We hope you understand.

VERY IMPORTANT: If we deem that your order is not in excellent condition to ship out OR if there are weather concerns (Too Cold, Too Hot, Holiday Traffic, Etc.) we will return your money back to you.

**The order can always be placed again when the weather breaks or we get better condition livestock. We return the funds because it typically takes 2-3 days to transfer back over to your account. We do not want to hold your money until the following week's shipment cycle. **

Additionally: we do NOT honor any issues with FedEx shipment delays BUT We will try our best to work you on shipping out another order. FedEx is the most reliable overnight shipping method, and usually there are NO issues using this method.

Materials Used: An insulated box and heat/cool packs (according to ambient temperatures) will keep the fish comfortable until they arrive to you.

In the case of “Dead on Arrival”  you must CONTACT US BY PHONE OR EMAIL WITHIN 1 HOUR OF DELIVERY. DO NOT remove the deceased fish from the original shipping bag and DO NOT discard the deceased item without authorization from us. Doing so will void all guarantees. We WILL NOT cover any loses caused by Fedex delivery failures or flight delays.Credit will be given for the fish only in the form of store credit. Once the fish is removed from the shipping bag, the responsibility for its health and well-being is up to the owner.

Rainbows are becoming more popular and widespread in the aquarium hobby because of their unique coloration, low maintenance and easy breeding. Rainbowfish originated in the warmer climates of northern Australia and Papua New Guinea. Each species is unique and can even have micro variations within the species depending on which stream or lake they are caught.

They are an excellent community fish and most species school with their own species and even other Rainbowfish. Rainbowfish coexist with their own species and other community species such as Tetras and Discus. If breeding Rainbowfish it is important to be aware that they can and will crossbreed with other species. The resulting young are often discolored and stunted. If breeding Rainbows is on the agenda it is important to house them in a species specific aquarium.

Rainbowfish are a popular choice in the aquarium hobby due to their range of sizes. Some Rainbows will stay very small, such as Threadfin Rainbowfish. The Threadfin Rainbowfish grows to a maximum of 1" and has beautiful long fins and mirrored scales. Most dwarf Rainbow varieties will grow to a maximum of 1.5" (4-5cm) and look great as a large school in a big aquarium. They are an excellent substitute for some of the more common Tetra varieties like the Neon Tetra or the Cardinal Tetra.
The name Rainbowfish is derived from the amazing iridescent colorations that change when light reflects off of these fish. These hardy, active fish do well with a variety of community fish. A schooling fish, Rainbowfish prefer to be in groups of six or more fish of the same species.
