Feather Duster

Feather Dusters are actually tube worms leaving in a conduit housing created by sand and shells.  The large colorful feathery fan crown that projects out of the body tube is used like a net to filter organisms for feeding.  The Feather Duster is sensitive to light and vibration and can retract into its home instantaneously.  Well established reef systems are a good environment for these creatures.  Provide live rock and a thick substrate for anchoring.
